NAFF Friday with The Clarks and Jim Donovan and Sun King Warriors

The Northern Appalachian Folk Festival Inc. is a 501-C3 hosting a FREE community event right here in Indiana, PA to celebrate the culture and history of Northern Appalachia. We are pleased to present a series of family-friendly, meaningful, and entertaining events. 

There will be a beer garden on Philadelphia Street at the event featuring Levity Brewing CoNoble Stein Brewing Company and Straub Beer. A second beer garden will also be available at Spaghetti BendersAl Patti's Bar and Grill, and Firehouse Brewing Co. 

The entertainment schedule for Friday, September 7 is as follows: 

Starting at 5 p.m. at the 500 block of Philadelphia Street:

*5-6 p.m. Sean Howard Orchestra to kick-off the Friday night activities

*6-7 p.m.: The 2nd Annual Northern Appalachian Folk Festival "Walk of Fame" Ceremony
*The 2018 inductees are: 
*Andy Warhol: The Arts
*Edward Abbey: The Environment
*Ida Tarbell: Education
*Chris Catalfamo: Human Rights

*7-9 p.m.: The Storytellers/Liars Contest at the Coney Island-Restaurantwith prizes provided for the best storytellers! 

*7-8 p.m.: Abafasi Wimmins African Drumming Ensemble from Pittsburgh, PA. Join us for drumming and dancing in the street. 

*8:15-9 p.m.: Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors featuring Indiana local Dan Murphy. Enjoy the sounds of folk and Appalachian acoustic music from this talented group. 

*9:15 - 10:45 p.m.: The Clarks, headlining the evening. This progressive rock group just came out with their 10th album so be sure to pick up a new copy in preparation for this event!
